Introduction

Liquefied oil produced by direct coal liquefaction (coal liquefied crude oil) maintains some properties of coal such as high aromatics, nitrogen and oxygen content, which need further hydro-upgrading before being used as final products.
The hydro-upgrading of direct coal liquefied oil usually contains two steps: stable hydrogenation and hydro-upgrading. Under moderate conditions, fixed bed hydrofining and hydro-upgrading are applied to get rid of atoms of nitrogen, sulfur and oxygen and improve cetane number of diesel at the same time.

Technical Characteristics

1. Process features
RCHU adopts RNC hydrofining catalyst with high de-nitrogenation activity and RCC hydro-upgrading catalyst with high ring-opening activity, enabling relatively high diesel yield.
Diesel fraction carries out selectively ring-opening reaction. As a result, cetane number of diesel can be improved by more than 18 ~ 45 units.
In naphtha fraction, the contents of sulfur and  nitrogen are both lower than 0.5 μg/g and aromatic potential is higher than 65%. Naphtha is a good feedstock for catalytic reforming without further treatment.
2. Operation flexibility
During normal production the units are able to satisfy the processing load varying from 60% to 110%.
3. Adaptability of raw materials
The special catalyst of RCHU has a good adaptability to feed and can adapt to the fluctuation of feed properties.
