Introduction

SINOPEC FCC MIP process characterized by a novel sequential two-zone riser converts heavy oil to clean gasoline with low olefin and sulfur. As a new FFC technology, it can be applied for the conventional FCC revamp or grassroots project.

Technical Characteristics

1. Operating flexibility
MIP technology provides operators with flexibility to switch among different operation modes based on product demands.
2. Feed adaptability
MIP process has now been developed into a platform technology, being able to process various feeds including VGO, CGO, AR, VR, HVGO, RDS and DAO etc.
3. Performance index
Compared with the conventional FCC process, MIP process produce much more FCC naphtha and less dry gas and slurry, and at the same time increase total liquid yields. MIP can also reduce sulfur content in gasoline and increase isobutane in LPG.
4. On-stream time
The on-stream time for MIP units is almost the same as that of conventional FCC units, usually 3 to 5 years.
