Introduction

SE single nozzle, cold wall type of pulverized coal pressurized gasification technology, the entrained-bed pulverized coal gasification packaged technology, is jointly developed by SINOPEC and East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST). The technology consists of chemical syngas preparation, dry pulverized coal pressurized gasification and quenching process.

Technical Characteristics

“SE single nozzle, cold wall type of pulverized coal pressurized gasification technology”, taking coal as feed to produce syngas, is the entrained-bed pulverized coal pressure gasification technology applying quenching process. It is featured with wide applicability of coal, low consumption of feed, high conversion of carbon, high cold gas efficiency, reliable operation and easy enlargement, etc.
The operation of SE-gasifier packaged technology is of high reliability.
The core equipment of gasifier applies integral structure of “reaction + quenching” with single burner at the top of gasifier, membrane water-wall, bubbling-bed scrubbing and solid slag discharging.
Apply compound multi-functional gasification burner which integrates the function of gasifier ignition, temperature rising and pulverized coal gasification. The structure is simple; operation and control are convenient and reliable.
Gasification quenching applies compound-bed scrubbing cooling + quenching process. It is featured with mature technology, low operation cost and low investment. It can also flexibly matches with downstream shift sections, of which the function is to lower gas velocity, keep liquid level stable and prevent crude gas from entraining water and ashes.
Slag water treatment applies direct heat exchange technology. Hot water evaporator has flashing-heat exchange double function, showing the features of high efficiency of heat revovery, energy saving, low fouling and slag blocking. New candle filter technology is applied to achieve seperation of filtered clarified water and dry slag, compared with gravity type clarification + vaccum belt filter. Its advantages includes larger processing capacity, high efficieny, low investment and small floor area.
Coal pulverization and conveying system applies coal grinding-drying integrated configuration, which is provided with high pressure pulverized coal lock hopper with compound aeration structure, stable and reliable pulverized coal dense-phase conveying system, oxygen/coal ratio control system, and high-accuracy online calibration technology of pulverized coal mass flow meter. Carbon dioxide or nitrogen is uesd as carrier for pressure conveying of pulverized coal. Pulverized coal feeding tank, together with aeration cone, aeration pipe, regulator and control valve on the conveying pipeline constitute pulverized coal pressurized and dense-phase conveying system, supplying pulverized coal to gasifier in a stable and controlled manner.
The packaged technology is marked as less “three wastes” (waste gas, waste water and waste residues) emission and environmental-friendly. Syngas is relatively clear. Gases through high temperature gasification are free of hazardous such as tar, phenol, making sysgas purification treatment easy. There is basically no waste gas emission under normal condition. Majority of process water can be recycled, and the amount of waste water discharged is small. The property of molten slag generated at high temperature is stable with minimum influence to environment, and can be used as building materials.
