Aromatic Rubber Extender Oil Extraction Technology (ARE)

In response to the regulation of European Directive 2005/69/EC that restricts Benzo(a) pyrene(B(a)P) content, the sum of eight polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon(PAHs) and the polycyclic aromatics (PCA) content in extender oils used in tyre production after 1 January 2010, Aromatic Rubber Extender Oil Extraction Process (ARE) had been developed by Sinopec which can meet the requirements of the European Directive to manufacture the extender oil. ARE technology has been commercialized in SINOPEC Jinan refinery. The products of ARE unit meet the requirements of the European Directive, and have been used in many rubber factories and tire production companies.
