Introduction

The Sinopec RISO Process is specifically designed to produce C5 and C6 isomerized gasoline, which is a good clean gasoline blending component with no aromatics and olefins. The RISO Process is simple and straightforward in design and operation and trouble-free in performance.

Technical Characteristics

1.Operation Flexibility
Combining with various separation processes, RISO process can produce different octane products. The separation processes include fractionation and selective adsorption. An idle pre-hydrogenation or reforming unit can be retrofitted to a RISO unit with small investment.
2.Feedstock Adaptability
Feedstocks could be overhead fractions of a crude distillation unit or reforming prefractioning tower, or raffinate of a benzene extraction unit. The RISO technology can treat low quality feedstocks with sulfur content up to 50ppm and water content up to 100ppm.
3.Performance
Its product is an excellent clean gasoline blending component without aromatics and olefins, and has an octane number of 80 ~ 90. Product yield is higher than 97wt%.
4.Long Catalyst Life
The cycle of a RISO unit is 2~3 years and the total cycle is usually more than 8 years. Such extended catalyst life results in significantly low operating costs.
